Craft Experience: 35 years

Ghanshyambhai is the only craftsman left from the Gajjar community is practicing this craft. He has learned the block making skill from his father Late Shri Popatlal Gajjar. He is having expertise in all kind of work. He has good drawing skill. Ghanshyambhai has also imparted training to both of his sons under block maing. Due to their education and good earnings in job they are not practicing the craft.

1980: Learn the skill of screen printing at Mumbai

1981: Learn drawing and sketching at Ahmedabad for two years

1985: Started learning block making skill at the age of 20

1990: Started practicing the craft as profession and joined his father’s workshop

1995: At the age of 30 he lost his father and started working independently

Prahladbhai Prajapati

is the only assistant left in his workshop is left. He is 79 years old and working here for 55 years. He is expertise in making all kind of blocks and at the age of 79 he is doing a very fine and good amount of work.
